more about Primo The sire of Primo is Engano: European Champion Stallion in Paris 1982. Engano, is also the sire of Bajano, Etnograf, Rosseau and Sagana. Primo himself is 3/4 brother to Aspenas fantastic mare Sagana. Engano died at the age of 8, after a breeding career of only four years. Engano was bred in Janów Podlaski in Poland. He raced one year with two starts and won both of the races. Engano left only four sons and Primo was his last. The dam of Primo, Polka, was – just like Primo – born at the Swedish stud Blommeröd Arabstuteri. Polka is through Pohaniec a half-sister to Probat. Her mother is by the famous Exelsjor, who also died much too young, leaving only a few offspring. Exeljor was born in Janów Podlaski. He was leased to Sweden where he became National Champion. As
you can see, Primo descended from generations of champions. They are
all from classic Polish bloodlines. Primo was extremly good mover with
an exceptionally fine head. In 1998 and 1999 Primo was chief sire in
Janów Podlaski State Stud, so that they have these rare and famous bloodlines
back. Primo won many championchips. To name a few: Swedish National
Champion, Norwegian National Champion, Finnish National Champion, second
at the European in Aachen and Den Bosch and third at the World Championchips
in Paris. |
